 The Gender Alliance of the South Sound (GASS) announces its third annual winter party fund-raiser, T-Town Soiree, Saturday, February 11, 2012 from 7-11pm at St. Paul's Methodist Church (also known as the Bridge Church), 5601 South Puget Sound Ave in Tacoma (1 block east of S. 52nd and South Tacoma Way). Calling all Trans, Gay, Les, Queer, Pagan, Free-Thinking, Conformist-Resisting Patriots of the Rainbow Nation! Dress up (or not... come as you are), wine and dine, dance to your favorite hits from the 60s to the present, and help out the South Sound's Transgender Support Group. GASS provides a safe community, support and education for transgendered individuals and their allies, as well as offering educational and support services and materials for businesses, employers, medical professionals, educational institutions and other interested parties within the general public. For the past seven years, GASS has been allied with the Rainbow Center in Tacoma. A non-profit organization, GASS receives all of its funding through individual contributions and fund-raising efforts. GASS invites all friends of the LGBTQI community to join us for this festive T-Town Soiree. This year it is the Saturday before Valentine's Day! So come on out to party with us on this very special Saturday. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. A sumptuous buffet dinner will be catered by our very own Julie Stuckey. Entertainment will be provided by famed DJ Lacy Underall. Plus there will be very special guest performances you don't want to miss! You'll get the chance to hang out with the coolest transgender people and their friends in the South Sound.
